“Sounds like you’re not quite ready to let her go.”
Stellar observed his expression, continuing to probe.
Now that she thought about it more carefully, she didn’t believe Coco was truly ungrateful.
Did she really betray her just because Xavier liked her and someone took advantage of that?
Could there have been more to it?
“I...”
Xavier hesitated for a moment. “I was the one responsible for looking after her in the beginning. No matter what, now that she’s missing, I have to find her.”
He didn’t say much, but from his expression, his gestures, and the way he carried himself, Stellar was certain that he did care about Coco.
“I’ll help look into where she went,” she decided quickly.
“Thank you. I really appreciate it.”
Xavier didn’t refuse her offer this time.
Stellar immediately got in touch with her own people and Stephen’s team.
Within an hour, there was an update.
“Based on surveillance and phone records, it looks like she bought a ticket to a place called Water Valley Town...”
