Kaiden’s Point Of View
I barely had time to process what was happening.
Avery’s glowing eyes, that blinding, otherworldly light were still locked on me, her body trembling with raw power. And then, before I could even think, before I could even breathe, Slade responded.
His voice, deep, guttural, possessive shook through my very soul.

A wave of invisible force exploded through the room. The very walls of the house shuddered. The windows cracked. The air was charged, electric, humming with an overwhelming energy.
