Kaiden's Point Of View
I needed to get out.
The weight of everything, the visions, the bond, the looming threat pressed down on me like an iron cage. No amount of logic or reasoning could erase the fear clawing at my chest. I couldn’t risk hurting her.
Which meant I had to get stronger. We had to get stronger.

The wind rushed past me, and the second my feet met the earth, the change tore through me like wildfire.
Bones cracked, stretching, reforming. Muscles thickened, rippling under my dark fur as my claws sank into the damp soil. The transformation was seamless, natural, like breathing. It was instinct.
