I remained with Ingrid for a few more days, and then it was time for us to continue our journey. Although I didn’t want to leave, I knew disobeying Lycan Fabian was out o the question. The past few days, his temperaments were above the charts.

I turned towards Ingrid who was filling my bag with medications and other essentials she thought I needed and my eyes stung with tears.
“Thank you,” I whispered. “For everything. I haven’t a clue how I’ll ever reimburse this debt.”
