As Erico handled the last of the paperwork at the counter, murmuring with the clinic staff, I slowly strolled out of the building.
I stepped onto the wide, welcoming porch, letting the fresh morning sun warm my face. I took a deep, shaky breath, feeling the cool air fill my lungs. A contented expression now settled on my face.
