Nikolas met his trusted manager but after one peg, he was eager to get away. Brooklyn’s words rang in his ears and he wondered if she was missing him or not. He eventually took his leave and left Harry Shelburne's house and went back. It was well past midnight and he knew that Brooklyn might have gone to sleep. He wanted to sleep with her like every day but when he tried her door he noted that it was locked from inside. Disappointed, he went to his room to freshen up and go to sleep. It was a restless night indeed as his heart, body, and mind longed for Brooklyn. He had no idea when just a whim became a burning need for him. He realized that this dependency wasn’t healthy. He needed to do something about it.
