I’m not caught up in this drama I’m experiencing with Leo and Miriam. My main aim is to focus on my team and the project that brought me here and also proving to Evergreen Company that they didn’t make a mistake choosing me to lead their luxury workspace transformation. That’s what matters. Not this nonsense with Leo and Miriam’s daily dose of sabotage.
But distractions don’t always ask for permission.
After throwing out the gift Leo brought last time, I thought and hoped that it was the end of it. But no, he didn’t stop. One after another, they kept coming in. Perfumes, jewelry, even a limited-edition wristwatch he knew I used to admire back then but refused to get it for me on purpose. All this and more were delivered with fancy notes that screamed guilt and desperation.
