This, perhaps, had to be the easiest chase I ever gave. I had him on the ground in a second, my arms pressing against his neck on the hard floor. I smashed my fist into his face, once, twice, and a third time until blood poured from his nose. He struggled beneath me, but his efforts to escape where futile.
“Where is she?” I growled at him. I could worry about how the fuck he managed to get into the palace without my knowledge later. Right now, all I wanted was to see her. To know that she was okay, and he’d not laid a finger on her.
“I do-n’t know what yo-u are talking about,” he choked.
“Where the fuck is she??” I commanded, flashing my claws in his face. The last person I wanted to kill so bad was my late father. I picked him up from the floor, only to throw another punch in his face, my claws digging into his skin. He screamed and staggered back as blood gushed from his face.
