(Jessamine’s POV)
“Jess!” Deborah called, knocking lightly on the door.
I opened my eyes, unsure if her voice was real or part of my dream. Maybe the question should be about what time Aiden and I went to bed last night. Or how did we end up in bed? I arched my head up, glancing at the gorgeous face of my sleeping fiancé. I have two options at the moment. Ignoring Deborah’s call or getting up, but whichever I chose, I would still wake Aiden up.
Sighing, I slowly lifted his arm on my waist and crawled slowly to the edge of the bed. He must be very sleepy because he only rolled on his other side, not minding me walking on tiptoe around the room, picking up our clothes.
I put on my oversized shirt and walked toward the door, opening it slightly.
“Is everything okay between you and Aiden?” she asked in a hushed tone, squinting as she tried to peer inside the room.
“Why are you whispering?” I yawned, glancing over my shoulder to see him. I sighed in relief to see him still sleeping.
