“Where am I?”
I looked around and I saw nothing. I was lost in… I have no idea. The world was black and white yet there was no light and dark.
The floor was cold and sent chills down my spine. The air felt… breathable. Refreshing even. It was a new feeling. A strange feeling.
I got up and rubbed my eyes. Everything was still the same. It wasn’t a dream. I was also tru;y alone. I couldn’t see anyone. There was no Lorenzo or Clarissa or… Dante.
My heart ached as I remembered the sorrow in his eyes, the tears that streamed down his face when I closed my eyes. I had never seen him so devasted, so worried, so broken. Maybe, he had changed. The Dante that held me as I was slowly taken away by the darkness was not the Dante that I had grown to know.
Suddenly, the sound of wolves howling in the distance filled my ears. I covered them but they still pierced through, reaching my eardrums and filling my head with their loud and mournful cry.
