I hold a frozen pea pack to his jaw, the other hand holding his, he flashes me a smile as he carries on speaking to the person on the other end of the phone. He has been on different calls since we left his father’s house, his plan for Rosemary’s house undisclosed to me.
The only thing I managed to convince him to do was get the iced pea, I didn’t want his face to bruise or swell, but he doesn’t care about it.
“I deserve it, for not seeing your pain immediately… I should have known when you asked me to…” he inhaled, and then smiled at me, his eyes brimming with things unsaid.
Now, he squeezes my hand once more as we return to the car, with no way to use the frozen peas, I let out a sigh. He doesn’t let go of my hand once as he drives, I have no idea where we are heading, but it’s to save Rosemary’s project.
“Baby, I will be extremely busy for a while, and while I need you at my side at all times, I don’t want to bore you.” he tells me.
The name still makes my stomach swirl with exc
