Valerie's pov
The train of the Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped. Up to three cars behind us and four at our front.
The gentle hum of the engine ceased, and the soft click of the doors unlocking signalled that we had arrived.
The grandness of the car didn't comfort me.
I was nervous, my palms slightly damp, but Ares remained surprisingly calm.
He looked confident, majestic even, as if he didn't care if we got the seal today. Today was the day we had been waiting for, the day Ares' father summoned us to the family estate.
Meanwhile, we had another mission of we have to execute more like I have to execute: I had to steal the seal, no matter what.
Ares has already helped me so much, and this was the only way I could repay him.
I felt Ares' hand skim my back in a comforting gesture, and I turned to look at him. His eyes met mine with a reassuring gaze.
