“Your father just mind-linked me, he claims that it is safe for us to go home. They will meet us in the living area.” Mother told me and I silently looked at her, not moving from my spot. “Be fearless.” Mother said and I followed her outside of the cellar, we walked back home with Mrs. Cordelia and Miss Laurel shortly on our heels.
We entered our house before we made our way to the living area and Mother opened the door without knocking. Her eyes turned yellow when she saw the unfamiliar man sitting on a chair in our living area.
Her claws came out in sharp lengths. “How dare you come onto my land, and threaten the life of my daughter?” Mother angrily asked the man. Egad, I have never seen her this cross at anyone before. Not even at Zion.
“Mel, ‘tis okay. He is a friend.” Father calmly told Mother and she glared over at Father with golden eyes.
