I decided to check for messages on my new phone that Chase picked up for me and reactivated my same number. I appreciated that gesture as my other phone was destroyed the other day. I find I had a lot of text messages and as I was going through the messages a new one popped up. It was from an unknown number. I read it and gasped in surprise.
Bri, meet me at this address at 10:00 am or you will never see that boyfriend of yours again. I know where he works and I have a guy keeping watch on him. So, NO funny business.

I know who B is and with all that has happened, I know he meant what he said. I sucked in a shaky breath and texted back.
I will be there. Just don’t hurt him.
I input the address on my phone GPS and thought to myself, that it was a good thing I had not taken my pain meds. The pain was less today so I was putting it off for when I absolutely needed it. I slowly climbed out of the bed and tested my legs as I stood. So, far, so, good. Just a slight dizziness
