Chase (POV)
I drive to the address and see Brianna’s car parked next to an empty warehouse. I can’t help but wonder how Ben got Bri to come here alone. I felt my dragon getting riled up. He wanted to save his mate as much as I do.
I park next to Brianna’s car and got out of my SUV. I walk to the open and very empty building. “Hello? Ben?” I say as my voice echoes around the empty place.
“Nice of you to come.” His voice echoes back around the building.
“Where is she?” I growled. “I know she’s here.”
“Of course, she is. But you won’t be around to see her.”
At that moment someone snuck up behind me but with superior hearing, I heard him in time to turn around and duck before he could hit me. I grabbed his arm, and he dropped the hammer that he tried to hit me with.
As I held the man’s arm I shout, “Is that your plan? To kill me and get me out of the way? Do you think she will want you?” I was angry now and my dragon was close to the surface. “I will warn you; you won’t like what happens
