Interrogation and Uncertainty
Roman's POV
The persistent knock on my door pulled me from the depths of a dreamless sleep. I opened my eyes and for a moment, I looked around, disoriented, my mind struggling to piece together where I was.
The unfamiliar surroundings slowly came into focus as I remembered, we were at Caspian's secret place.
"Come in," I called out, my voice still rough with sleep.
Caspian's head poked through the door, a small smile on his face. "Morning, sleeping beauty. Thought you might want some breakfast." He teased in his usual playful manner.
I groaned, pushing myself up to a sitting position. "What time is it?" I demanded, seeing the room already bright.
"Just past 8 AM," Caspian replied, stepping fully into the room with a tray of food. "You needed the rest. So I didn't disturb you." He informed me.
I nodded, rubbing my eyes. "Yeah, I guess I did. Thanks for letting me sleep in. I feel freshened up, to say the least." I confessed, stretching my limbs.
