Roman's POV
I rubbed my tired eyes, squinting at the screens before me. Hours of poring over Scarlett's recordings had yielded nothing substantial, and frustration gnawed at me.
With a heavy sigh, I pushed back from the desk, my chair scraping against the floor.
As the clock struck noon, I decided it was time for a break. My stomach growled, reminding me that I hadn't eaten since 8am.
I stretched, feeling the satisfying pop of my joints, and made my way to Caspian's room.
I found him lounging on his bed, phone pressed to his ear, a dopey smile plastered across his face.
I leaned against the doorframe, watching him with amusement. It was probably Bree on the other end, judging by the way his eyes lit up.
