The doctor waited for a moment before he spoke again.
"Mr. Khan, an obstetrician will come later to check on your wife." the doctor said.
"Thank you doctor" Amaro said and smiled from ear to ear, his anxiety was already replaced by happiness.
"Congratulations to both of you"
"Thanks doctor!" said Kashmir.
When the doctor left them, Amaro caressed Kashmir's lower abdomen and leaned toward it.
"Baby, I am your daddy." Kashmir looked down and watched Amaro talk to their child in her womb.
She couldn't explain the joy she felt that tears continued to flow down her cheeks. Some of her tears that trickled her cheeks fell on Amaro's face. Amaro looked up as he felt the drop of liquid on his face and saw Kashmir crying.
"Hey, why are you crying? Aren't you happy?" he wiped her tears.
Kashmir hugged him "I am so happy!" she exclaimed. "I am just overwhelmed and can't explain how happy I am."
"Shhh... don't cry. It might not be good for our baby." He caressed her back and her hair.
