Damelza sat between the two Alphas, with a suture needle and thread in her hands, skilfully tending to their wounds. The atmosphere between the three of them was quite tense, despite Alpha Theo and Alpha Daniel trying to engage her in conversation.
“Look at me, Damelza,” Alpha Theo said in a pleading voice. “I'm sorry I fought to take you. I know what I did upset you, but it's only because I love you so much. I want us to go back to the way we used to be.”
Damelza didn't answer and just continued to look at Alpha Theo and Alpha Daniel's wounds.
“Don't worry, Theo,” Alpha Daniel said gently. “Damelza will forgive you in time. You have to give her time because recent events have left Damelza shaken,” he added with a sad look on his face.
“Really, Damelza?” asked Alpha Theo, hopefully.
Damelza nodded and smiled at Alpha Theo. “Of course, I can't be angry with you or Alpha, Daniel. You are two people I value and respect.”
Alpha Theo and Alpha Daniel smiled with relief at Damelza's words.
