Ember's POV
I pulled the duvet up, tucking the kids in properly as I turned off the light and made to leave but Bella suddenly grabbed my little finger stopping me.
"Mommy," she called.
"What is it, baby?" I asked, settling back on her bed.
"I don't think I'll fall asleep anytime soon. Can you read me a story?" She asked.
"Stop acting like a baby Bella. Bed night stories are for babies and not soldiers," Atlas said, making me chuckle.
"Mommy, Atlas is bullying me again," Bella grumbled, close to tears again.
"That's enough Atlas, remember what your dad said. Real soldiers don't make little ladies cry."
"But she cries even without me doing anything," Atlas replied, frowning.
"Atlas," I called threateningly.
"I'm sorry Bella," he apologized, grumbling and I smiled, ruffling his hair and he giggled. I glanced at Levi in his bed, noticing that he was oddly quiet which is so unlike him
"Levi, are you okay?" I asked, moving to his side.
"I'm fine Mom," he replied but I could tell he was not
