Their eyes locked and she looked away quickly, feeling tiny as if she had been dominated by him. Their features were stern and impassive, and Sinclair had a positively evil look in his eyes.
Marie’s stomach twisted. She still did not know what his identity was, but the feeling that went through her when she met him was fearful.
“Hello, father.” There was no love, no care. Apart from this, he was formal as if she made him uneasy.
