Isla knelt beside Maria, her heart pounding as she felt for a pulse. The girl lay motionless on the floor, and panic surged through Isla’s veins. “Come on, Maria, please,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “Wake up!”
Just then, Elara rushed into the room, her expression shifting from concern to alarm as she took in the scene. “What’s going on?” she demanded, her voice sharp and authoritative.
“I don’t know!” Isla exclaimed, her voice rising in desperation. “She was drinking her milkshake, and then she just fell down!”
Elara’s eyes narrowed, and she quickly called for a few of her servants. “Get in here! We need help!” she ordered, her tone commanding.
The servants rushed in, their expressions serious as they assessed the situation. Without warning, they moved toward Isla, and before she could react, they cuffed her hands behind her back.
“What are you doing?!” Isla shouted, struggling against their grip. “I didn’t do anything to Maria! I swear!”
“Just drag her out,” Elara instructed
