Debra's heart sank as she watched Andrew and Sherry chat happily.
It looked like the rumors were true.
When Erica didn't reappear, Debra figured Barton had stopped her. Worried about a scene, she headed into the hotel.
Outside the hall, only Barton stood guard. There were no signs of Erica.
"Did you see Erica?" Debra asked.
Barton smiled, "Miss Frazier, are you here to see Mr. Andrew Potter?"
Debra blushed. "I..."
"He is inside. If you've got questions, why not ask him yourself?" Barton said.
Debra hesitated. "Isn't he with someone important? Would it be weird if I just walked in?"
Barton just stepped aside, gesturing for her to enter.
She paused, then stepped into the restaurant. Surprisingly, Sherry was gone. Andrew sat alone by the window, the table cleared and reset with new dishware.
She approached, confused. "Where is Miss Howell?"
A server pulled out a chair for her. "Please, have a seat."
