“You had too much to drink. Should I take you home?”
Kieran had the cheek to approach Clarice again.
He knew better than to get close to her. However, today was the day to get things done once and for all.
If there were no issues from either party, they could just get engaged.
Though the progress was pretty quick after just one date, this was all for the partnership between the Wittersons and the Barns.
Kieran could tell that Clarice was not the least bit interested in him.
Still, her feelings carried no weight in the decision. So long as Clarice was without a lover, they were free to get married and work together.
“Why won’t you leave me alone? Haven’t I made myself clear? I don’t want to marry you.”
Clarice flat-out rejected him, sending a strong message for the guy to take a hike.
“That’s not why I’m here. I just want to be sure that you aren’t too drunk. It won’t look good on my family if anything happens to you here.”
