"Far away from you? That's not happening." Jotham said determinedly. "Julie, I promise to make it up this time. I truly regret many of my actions then. It may be too hard to forgive me, but you have to. You know we are made for each other, Julie. You know it deep down inside of you."

"No." She shook her head, her face filled with disgust, "we are not made for each other. And why aren't you married yet to Mirabel? After all, you divorced me just because of her." She requested.

When Jotham was about to respond, the door opened forcefully and a giant figure walked in.

"Grandpa," Jotham called, his voice had hints of emotions this time.

The expression on the old man's face speaks clearly that the man is boiling in rage.

"Let go!" The man yelled at Jotham.

Jotham let go of Julie at once. The old man approached her, "Julie..." He called emotionally. The old man almost had tears pouring from his eyes.

The old man had always liked Julie ever since Jotham got married to her. When they divorced five years ago, the old man had scolded Jotham repeatedly, threatening to evict him as the CEO of the family's company as well as stripping him of all his inheritance. He had since told him to find her by all means.

"Grandpa," Julie called softly.

The old man opened his arms wide and she hugged him warmly. After they disengaged, the old man said to her, totally ignoring his grandson, "Julie, it's been so long. Oh... I've missed you. Come with me, please. We have a lot to talk about."

Julie nodded and walked with the man. Soon, they were out of the ward.

"Julie, how could you agree to divorce Jotham without bothering to inform me? You know I'll never have let the divorce happen. You are a very good and beautiful woman, he just doesn't have the eyes to see it." The old man said. They were now both inside his car.

"I knew you wouldn't allow it, that was why I didn't bother telling you, sir. Moreover, I can't keep staying with a man who will never love me, whose heart is clearly with another woman." She said.

The old man sighed painfully; he looked into her ocean-blue eyes and said, 'Your face is now devoid of love, Julie. Will you really not come back to Jotham?" The man's voice was apologetic. As though he was indirectly pleading.

"I'm married to another man, sir." She blurted.

The old man's eyes turned. He lowered his head sadly and remained quiet for a while. When he raised it up again, he said with a sorrowful heart, "There is real no hope for that brat again." He was referring to his grandson.

"As long as you are happy with the man you are married to, Julie..." He nodded slowly, "But don't distance yourself away from me, okay? I'll always be here for you if you need me."

"Alright, sir," Julie said, feeling pity for the old man but there was nothing she could do.

Julie soon departs from the old man. In an hour, she was home. She was about to go wash up when a knock came through to the door.

"Come in." She said and the person behind the door walked in.

"Trevor..." She called as she relaxed tiredly on the couch. Trevor was Dr. T. The one who had acted as her husband. In truth, she was not married. She was a single mother of two beautiful daughters who are twins.

Trevor was his personal assistant and of course, the closest person to her.

"How were you able to escape him?" Trevor asked as he went to sit before her.

"He's not going to hold me forever in that ward, right?" She answered. "His grandfather came through for me."

Trevor sighed, "Julie, there's really not much I can do in this city; we need to return to Glastonbury." At Glastonbury, Trevor has connections with many powerful men over there, but here at Westfort, he's powerless. And by wisdom, he knew it was foolish to be in the bad book of the most powerful man here in Westford, which was Jotham.

Trevor continued, "We clearly can not help his condition anymore. I guess he'll have to get another doctor."

"You are right. That man is a psycho. We'll leave tomorrow. Make preparation."

"Alright." Just as Trevor was about to stand, he checked out the news he just received. His face changed at once.

It took a while before Julie noticed the expression on Trevor's face, "What's the matter?"

"Astrid and Vesper..." He paused, still reading frantically on his phone.

Julie sat upright at once, her heart beating rapidly, "what happened to my daughters?" Astrid and Vesper were the names of her twin.

"They are currently at the hospital."

"Excuse me!" Julie sprang to her feet, panic and fear etched on her face.

Seven minutes later, Julie and Trevor could be seen walking swiftly towards a ward that had just been described for them.

On entering, Julie ran towards her twins, who were lying side by side in different beds. They both seemed asleep.

Just then, the doctor walked in, seeing Julie, he panicked, "Dr. J, are these kids yours?"

"Of course." She answered. "Will they be fine?"

"Yes, they were almost hit by a car, but thankfully, the car didn't hit them. They both fainted out of fear." The doctor explained.

"And why is that man that almost hit them not here? He is supposed to take responsibility for what he did." Julie said.

Just then, the door opened and another person walked in. Julie was shocked to see who the person was, "Mr. Murray?"

Murray was Jotham's closest friend, "Hi, Julie. I'm sorry for what happened to the girls. It's my fault. But... Are they really yours?"

"Yes, they are my daughters." She said. "only because you were good to me in the past will I let it go. Please be careful when driving next time."

Murray nodded slowly; he peeked at the two girls over and over again, then nodded and turned.

Before he could exit the door, Julie swiftly walked up to him, "Murray, can you please not let Jotham know I have kids."

Murray expressed a confused face? He's my best friend. I can't keep anything from him. He already knows you are remarried; why is it a problem if he knows you have kids for your husband? It will, as a matter of fact, disc

ourage him from wanting you back. Unless, of course, there's something you are hiding."
