Layton's appearance was extremely inappropriate, missing the opportunity for Lorraine to catch up with Jaden and return the gift box.
She watched as his car drove away, still holding the box in her hand.
"Lorraine, would you go out with me?"
"I would make you the happiest girlfriend in the world," Layton's sudden confession left Lorraine feeling uninterested.
Lorraine was too lazy to look at him any longer, so she turned around and walked away.
Layton, however, persisted, "Lorraine, wait a moment, don't you think we had a special connection?"
"What do you mean by fate?" Lorraine turned around.
"I was interested in you at school."
"But soon it was winter vacation."
"I thought I would not be able to see it until at least next year."
"But little did I expect to see you at the Dorset Clinic, this is the opportunity that God has bestowed upon me."
