"No" Claire shouted as light burst forth from her. The chains on her hands broke away. And she stood up from the slab in a whirl of light and wind.
A look of shock was plastered on Kendrick's face. The room was enveloped in darkness. But Kendrick soon came out from his shock.
His lips moved, changing spells, the crystals brought out a warm orange hue. He walked over to them, placing a hand on each of them. They shone with so much brightness, driving out the darkness. It combined together, a bright light bursting forth.
Kendrick directed the light at Claire, who was above the ground with eyes, glowing red.
The light came at her with full force. It hit her directly in her chest and she fell to the ground unconscious.
"Now, I can do what I have in peace." An eerie smile covered Kendrick's face.
