CARA
The Ferrari pulled up into the driveway and the engine got cut out.
I rolled out of bed and was at the window in time to see Philip get out. He was putting on a red sport shirt and tennis shorts, complete with sunglasses.
He shut the car door, took off the glasses and then walked towards the house.
My heart was thumping in my chest as I moved away from the window, why was he here?
I walked backwards to my bed and sat down, just yesterday, my dad was telling me that I should get married to him and all I could think about was what we did together the night before.
I expected a call from him yesterday but none came, it was as if he knew I was not ready to talk about what happened and was honoring my wishes, we had known each other for a long time… could it be true that he had a thing for me?
A sharp knock at my door interrupted my thoughts, “Cara, you decent?” his voice sounded from outside.
My breath caught sharply in my throat, what did that question mean? What was it hinting at?
