Aren looked at Aspen tenderly and said resolutely, "Don't worry, Pen. Everything's under control. Fuller Group won't be able to turn things around.
"I've already taken action. Just sit back and enjoy the show," Aren said with a hint of mystery.
Seeing Aren's confident demeanor, Aspen's worries eased somewhat.
The next morning, back in her office, Aspen looked at her phone and smiled slightly as warmth spread through her chest. Aren's words from dinner the night before still echoed in her mind. His actions were always so timely and thoughtful.
She set down her phone and instructed Alexa, "Keep a close eye on Fuller Group's movements, especially their finances."
"Understood, Ms. Nicholls," Alexa immediately replied.
Aspen stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing down at the city's landscape. Though her eyes were sharp and alert, she felt more at ease.
