I woke up with a smile on my face the next morning. It was the best morning I've had in the last two months. I knew something good had happened and waking up in a bed next to my mother even made it better.
I didn't want to leave her to sleep alone so I asked Alpha Dimitri for permission to stay next to her last night and he let me. As soon as he said yes, I didn't waste any time grabbing my things and running to the bed.
We talked for a while about a couple of things and I'm so glad that she didn't ask me about my intimate relationship with him or my wedding night. It would have been so obvious that I was lying because I didn't know anything and she would have caught on to my lie.
She always did. We talked, watched some TV, had some late-night snacks then went to bed a little after midnight. We never did this back home. My father didn't like happiness.
