Amber's pov
When I saw Adrian's mother and Dora entering the house, my heart raced. I couldn't stand and witness what was going to happen. All I could do was to go inside. While I was inside, I heard Adrian raising his voice at his mother.
“Mom, what's all these? I never thought you meant it when you said you wanted to bring Dora here.”
“Dora is your first love, there is nothing you can do about it,” his mom replied.
“Mom, I'm no longer in love with her.”
“You better watch your mouth. Why will you say something like that in the presence of a lady?”
“Mom, I don't want her here.”
Why can't he just tell his mom what he has told me? Why is he so sensitive to someone else's reputation? He saw her cheating, why keep such information that could settle the whole matter? There will be no way that I can stay comfortable in this house with Adrian's mom and Dora. I hate such an environment. I was about to conclude to myself when Adrian entered the room and shut the door.
