When Dave left the office after threatening to reveal Amber's true identity to Adrian, he returned. He thought he might see Amber again or find a note on his desk about when they would meet.
"She didn't leave anything," he thought and he thoroughly checked his desk again, sorting through the papers to see if she had left a note. Feeling unsettled, he went to Amber's desk and scanned her neatly organized workspace.
"How cold-hearted she is. Doesn't she care if I lose my company? How will I face Gwen at home? She's always on my nerves. There's still some time for Amber to reconsider what I told her." He leaned back against Amber's desk and paced the floor. Suddenly, he grew confident that Amber wouldn't let him reveal her secret to Adrian. A smile crept across his face as he gently stroked his beard.
"What if she agrees today, am I ready for it? She'll be very cautious, and it might be difficult for me to drug her wine in her presence. Why not enlist the help of one
