Ash and Lynn stayed the night at Lund Manor after the banquet. They were supposed to sleep in the same room with Rebecca, but Xavier barged in when they were about to go to bed, wearing nothing except thermal underwear.
He carried each of them in his arms and walked away.
Rebecca was anxious. "They still haven't washed up yet. You don't know the first thing about looking after children."
He retorted, "I do."
She wanted to take off after him, but Jerome stopped her.
"They don't always spend the night at our place. Let Xavier spend some time with them. You've always chided him for not being mature enough. Now that he wanted to fulfill his duty as a father, however, you didn't want to give him the chance."
Rebecca still felt a little reluctant. "But I finally got the chance to be with my grandchildren."
She was quite let down by the fact that Ash and Lynn slipped through her fingers, but Jerome saw the situation more clearly than she could.
