“So how was the dinner last night?” Bray Asks me the next day as I make myself a protein shake after coming back from my run.
“Great. One of those nights you just wish you had stayed in,” I say, grabbing our bottles.
When I got back into the dining room. I found Lucius had already left the dinner because he had something important to deal with.
After dinner, Cassian made sure Ryan dropped me off at the house and I have not heard from Lucius since last night.
Was I disappointed? Maybe.
‘Of course you are. You guys had a moment, and he just dumps you there. I cannot believe him’ Sage remarks. I can imagine her folding her arms over her chest and I cannot help but smile.
Such a drama queen.
‘I am not a drama queen!’ She retorts when my phone chimes. I hurriedly rushed to check who was texting me, but it seemed like Cassian was checking on me.
“How are you feeling now?” I typed the message, but paused. It does not sound appropriate to text an alpha king like this.
