“His eyes? What do you mean?” I asked him, pausing in front of him. I looked at his hand, blood dripping from his hand.
“Lucius. Let me help then...”
“Did he send you here? Is that why you came to me?”
“No! I didn’t tell you anything because I was asked to. And because I had to use that to get Bray back to my team. So yes”
“Bryan Stormhold?” He knit his brows.
“Yes. Him. Listen. I’m so sorry I lied to you, and I wish I Didn’t, but Bray Is my friend, and she didn’t stand a chance in Bianca’s Squad,” I stepped closer to him. He tightens his jaws.
“Why? He almost cost you your life. If you can’t train your recruits, then—”
“Because people like him are frowned upon. He tries his best every time. Most of my men followed my orders, and he came back to save me, not risk my life,” I explained to him. He inhaled sharply, looking away from me as I paused, hoping he would at least say something now or yell.
