“How dare he! Blackwood is so hypocritical, bullying you like this and putting you through so much misery!’‘ After hearing the whole story, Lucius angrily crushed the glass in his hand.
I raised a brow looking at him, clenching tight to the glass in his hand.
“Not the kind of reaction we expected, right?” Sage was just as shocked as I was, her amber orbs, widened as I lowered my head.
“How could he even stand there acting like you are the one who betrayed him?” He was fuming. I have seen Lucius furious, but this was new to me.
I didn’t know how to react to this. “That’s new, really”
“It wasn’t that traumatic after all” I sheepishly smiled, wiping the tears from the slits of my eyes and looking at him as he got up from the chair, pacing about in the room
I had thought that the scars I would carry with me for the rest of my life would never heal. After I revealed what had happened, I felt a lot better.
“Maybe it’s because we only did it because of duty,” Sage sug
