I sat at the head of the conference table, watching as the representatives of the Sol Group and some of my executives filed out of the room. The meeting had gone smoothly, far smoother than I had expected, to be honest. They didn’t come with a large contingent like I expected.

The two packs are not friends with each other but then we were not at war either. It's more like we were wary of one another and were waiting for who would make the first move. Usually if they are coming to this kind of meeting, they will come with a lot of their warriors in case things turn awry but that doesn’t seem to be the case today.

A few years after I became the alpha, I decided that I needed more allies than enemies and I decided to find them. And for Jaxon to come with such a few representatives, mostly business officials, maybe he is having the same thoughts as me. This will make our meeting go smoother.

Crewwood has a lot of material resources that makes them one of the richest packs in our country

As soon as she left, my mother turned to me.“Does anyone else know?” she asked me in a low voice.“Denise.”“Your sister-in-law?”“Yes,” I said slowly, very surprised at her sudden behavior.“So if Denise knows, that means your husband knows too.”“No, he doesn’t. I haven’t had the chance to tell him yet.”“But what if his sister had told him?”“She didn’t have the chance either,” I replied, remembering how excited Denise was to find her mate. “Besides, I know she respects me enough to wait for me to tell him myself.”She paced a bit in the room and was clenching and unclenching her hands. Then she stood still, but her hands were still shaking.“Mother, are you alright?”“You are sure nobody else knows?”“Positive.”“Nobody. Not your maids, not your friends. Anyone?”“Apart from my friends in Crewwood, no one else knows.”Her face twisted with fear. “Don’t tell anyone else. Don’t tell anyone, Lyra!”I blinked. “Why not?”“It is dangerous. It can get you killed.”“What?” I dropped the

I squeezed her hand. “I had to. For my son. For my mate. And for me.”We sat like that in silence for a moment, mother and daughter, survivors of the same man in different ways.“So, mother, why didn’t you come yesterday?” I questioned her. “Damien invited everyone in the pack.”“I would have come last night,” she said quietly, “to the ceremony. To see you and Damien. But…”“But?” I prompted. She hesitated. “Your father forbade me.”My hands stilled over my cup. “What? Why?”“I don’t know why,” she said quickly, almost defensively. “He just… told me not to go. I wanted to come, truly. But he said it would be inappropriate. And I didn’t want to cause a fuss.”“Inappropriate?” I repeated bitterly. “Granted that you didn't know it was a ceremony to announce my coming back. And to present the heir of Axelland. But you and Dad are respected members of this pack and should be available at such gatherings.”“I know,” she whispered. “I know. He said I shouldn’t go, that it might not be so imp

Soon we were ready and I came out with Leo and my nanny. Rowan and the other guard flanked me as we made our way toward the garage. We took the car Damien had prepared for us. It was one of the newest cars in the garage. Damien actually told me it's my car, like he bought it for me.I am still shocked by the news and I still can’t bring myself to call it my car yet. I am even afraid to drive in it. The Damien of yesterday will never allow me to get near any of his cars, not to mention giving me the keys to one. But now he has actually bought a brand new one for me. I smiled as we got in, silently admiring the interior. The morning sun was high and warm as we made our way through the quiet roads leading to my parents’ home. The nanny held Leo gently, cooing at him as he babbled and kicked his tiny feet, full of energy as always. We were both seated at the back of the car while Rowan and the second guard, Mark, were in the front.Mark was driving while Rowan would occasionally look back

  • Luna Lyra   A passionate morning

Damien teased as his fingers slowly slipped into my hot hole. My hips jerked a little at the pleasurable sensation and my walls instantly clenched around his fingers. I need to stop this before I become a hot mess in his arms…“Damien, ah. Yes…ah. I missed you …too,” I told him in broken phrases interrupted by my lusty moans. He smiled and bent and turned me over the bed. He removed my nightgown and I was completely naked under him. He started kissing my neck and went down my body slowly kissing his way down. My body was vibrating with needs and desires. Before I knew what’s happening, my leg was spread wide apart and there was a man crouching in between my legs! My man was at my favorite spot and I knew this morning was going to be a long one. I was already melting in his arms. His hot tongue was thrusting in and out of my cunt faster now and my body felt like it was on fire..."Ahhhh!" I moaned and he thrust faster. He was fucking me with his togue and I was almost at the edge. I r

Sunlight filtered through the bedroom curtains, spilling golden rays across our tangled sheets. I blinked slowly, adjusting to the soft light of dawn, and turned my head.Damien was still fast asleep, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. His dark lashes lay heavy against his cheek, and his lips were parted slightly, the tiniest snore escaping now and then.I smiled. It was a hectic day yesterday with all the activities. After I went inside to rest for the night I knew Damien stayed out for longer hours dealing with some of our guests. So I am not surprised to see him still asleep. He looked peaceful. The kind of peace that only came after surviving chaos which we had, again and again. After last night’s celebration and all the guests, I was sure he needed every bit of rest he could get.Plus he had to wake early to see off Denise and our Crewwood guests. I couldn’t do that but I had earlier seen Denise when she came to my room at night. She told me they will be leaving ear

“I don’t care. We don’t ignore signs like this.”He hesitated. “You think someone already snuck in?”“I know they did,” I growled. “And whoever they are, they don’t mean well.”Mason exhaled sharply, then nodded. “Alright. I’ll gather a team.”“Make sure it’s warriors who can blend in. No uniforms. We don’t want to spook them before we know what we’re dealing with.”“Got it.”He shifted and ran off, and I stood there for a moment longer, letting the silence settle around me. Whoever had crossed that border… wasn’t welcome here.“How’s the warrior’s training coming along?” I asked Kellan, as he was in charge of training new people in the warrior academy.“Oh, it's terrible. Some of the newbies are a pain in the ass. They don’t realise the precarious situation we are in.”“Maybe I should pay them a visit. I can have a round of fights with some of them. That way, they will understand what they are there for.”“That would be astounding,” Kellan said, smiling. We started walking together t
