I stared at the deer, dumbfounded.
Did Fae deer know how to speak too?
But my questions were answered immediately as the deer started shifting.
As I watched in amazement, the deer's body began to morph and contort, its limbs elongating and twisting into something that was definitely not natural. Within moments, the deer had transformed into a strange man.
My jaw dropped as I took in the transformation before me. His features were almost otherworldly. His hair was long and tangled, and his eyes seemed to glimmer with an ethereal light.
The man seemed unbothered by my shock and awe, "nothing to say?" he said in a calm and measured tone.
"Um...are you a werewolf? Wait, no. Werewolves can't shift into another animal. So you are no dragon, either. So what are you?" I asked.
He glared at me. "None of your business."
"It is too my business. You are trespassing. Um...Andrew and Rhys said you were a Fae deer. But you are a human?" I stared at him in amazement.
