I saw her slowly sit down on the couch as her tears began to stream down her cheeks. “You have to calm down, Melissa. Just calm down,” I said to her, immediately fetching her a glass of chilled water. She kept on crying.
“How could the lion die? He was such a strong man. He was a very kind man. What could have happened to him? Who could have done this to the lion? Somebody must have really plotted this against him. It can never have been a coincidence,” she said to me as I kept on comforting her.
“She just calmed down. I need to go for his funeral,” she said to me as I nodded my head in affirmation.
“But you can't let them see you. You never can tell what those people can do. They are dangerous,” I said to her, but she immediately got up and went to dress up. I followed that trail behind her as we got ready to go for the lion's funeral.
