I woke to the soft light filtering in through the curtains, my body warm and tangled with Jaden’s. Todd and I had worked through some of our issue and I knew in time we would be friends like we had been once before. As I started to stretch, a deep voice growled in my ear, causing me to jump. “That smile better be about me,” Jaden growled in my ear, pulling me closer into his embrace. His piercing green eyes opened slowly, revealing a hint of playfulness as he propped himself up on his elbows to look at me. His messy, dark hair fell across his forehead as he ran a hand through it before gently stroking my cheek with his thumb. “Thank you for speaking with Todd. I know it wouldn’t have been easy,” I smiled and snuggled closer to him, feeling grateful for his understanding and support.
“He means something to you and with my sisters leaving, I didn’t want you to feel lonely,” he gave me a soft smile, one that made me want to melt into his arms and make love to him all over again. I
