Liya's POV
"Connor!!" I was screaming, stumbling around aimlessly and snapping my head left and right vainly in search of him. He seemed to have disappeared into thin air right before my eyes. Or had the triplets done something to him?!
The tears pooling in my eyes and streaming down my face like a waterfall blurred my vision, and the ache in my chest did not relent. Suddenly, I could not breathe. As though all the oxygen channeling to my lungs had been cut off.
"Help…" I tried to scream, but it came out as a whimper.
Something was happening to me! My head spun wildly, sending my eyes rolling to the back of my head. Gasping, I fell to my knees. I was still in the process of piecing together the sudden changes going through my body when I felt a light breeze swirl past me. In the very next second, a soft feminine voice echoed in my head, nearly making me jump out of my skin.
"Just breathe…and no matter what happens, don't stop breathing. Go slow, steady."
