Kayden had planned a special evening for us. After everything that had happened, he wanted to spend some time alone, away from the pack's responsibilities and the threats.
We decided to have dinner at the edge of the pack around the courtyard, a serene spot where we could watch the sunset. The air was crisp, and the sound of rustling leaves added a sweet sound to our quiet conversation.
“It's actually quite beautiful how this place is now,” I said looking around. “It seems like I'm seeing everything from a whole new perspective, everything feels so different now.”
