CHAPTER SIXTY
DAMON Point of View
Bang bang! The knock on my window interrupted my peaceful sleep. I groggily opened my eyes to find my room bathed in darkness. I had been sleeping soundly, exhausted from the day's events. But then, I heard knock on the window that I could not ignore. I just wished I could pretend I didn't hear it, and continue to sleep, but I could not. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and rushed to the window, pushing it open to reveal Tyla standing outside. The moon cast an eerie glow on her face, and I could see the worry etched on her features. "Go to the door," I told her, already turning to head to the entrance. I quickly made my way to the door and opened it, letting Tyla in. "What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice low. "And why did you come to my territory at this time of night? You could have gotten hurt." Tyla sighed deeply, her eyes scanning the room before settling on mine.
