Camilla POV
During dinner,I am painfully aware of Alex's fleeting gaze on me. It's like he wants to ask a question but stops being himself at the same time.
My mind races and I grip my fork a little too hard.
Gina seems to notice Alex's hesitation and the awkward air between us.
“How was your day, Camilla?” Gina asks. After leaving the council earlier we departed ways. I headed to the clinic but later went to see Alpha Theo.
“It was alright. The professor has been teaching me a lot about poisons.”I reply and she gives me a smile.
The sound of Alex putting his fork down echoes in the dining room.
“You didn't leave the clinic at all?”he inquires. I can already tell where this conversation is going so I give him what he wants.
“ I did, I went to see Alpha Theo.”I reply and I see his expressions relax.
“ Why? was something wrong?”Alex asks and I shake my head.
“I was just angry about Hector leaving the pack for his alpha training. I can't believe he didn't tell me that before.” I
