“What did you just say?” Daniel asked. His heart rate increased even further and he could hear the thumping in his ears.
Everything vanished and what remained was the voice of a little boy, who looked exactly like him, questioning him why he made his mother cry.
“Our Mommy has never cried in front of us no matter how sad she feels. But yesterday was different. Did you bully our Mommy?”
“Huh?”
“Are you not listening?”
“Sorry, come again.”
“The reason my brother hacked your company was because you bullied our Mommy. Our Mommy is untouchable and anyone who dares mess with her messes with us. We are her protectors and we cannot allow anything to happen to her.” Clare declared when she saw the confused look on the man’s face.
“Who is your mother?” Daniel inquired.
“Ella Smith,” Caleb answered.
“What did you just say? Can… you…say… that… again?” he asked, his voice raising a notch higher. His assistant was also shocked and he almost felt that he was dreaming.
