I knew that something was off. I felt it in my gut, and then I realized something was blocking my mind link. I rushed out of my chamber only to find pale Nazo standing in the corridor.
“I was just looking for you, Alpha.” Nervous laughter laced his voice. “I have news to tell you,” he said a little tensely.
My mind link was still blocked, but it seemed like he knew about it. “Did something happen?”
“Not really.” His expression told me the exact opposite. “I have a standard report for you.”
I had no idea what kind of “standard report” he meant, but I didn't question it. “Let's go,” I muttered, gesturing for him to follow me.
A moment later, we entered my study. Nazo carefully closed the door behind us. Then he turned to me and drew a deep breath. “Alpha… Just try to stay calm,” he started.
My hands fisted in an instant. “What happened?”
Nazo stepped back, as if to gain more distance. “Kaira has left Oryndale. She's basically been abducted… by Prince Seth.”
