Chapter 5

Author: Little Dazey
Agitated, Greg was about to hug Jacob when the latter asked a question, "Mom offered me so much. What can you offer me?"

Seconds ago, Greg and Amanda had been over the moon when they learned that I planned to give Jacob all my assets. Their eyes shone with greed. Apart from my commercial and residential properties abroad, I had one billion dollars in wealth.

If I gave everything, including Weiss Group, to Jacob, Greg and Amanda would receive wealth that would last for generations.

Amanda glanced at me and whispered to Greg, "When Rachel's father died, he gave all his shares to her. She owns 50% of Weiss Group now.

"You own 5% of the shares. If you give it all to Jacob, he will own 55% of Weiss Group. Those properties worth hundreds of millions will belong to us. When that happens, we can kick Rachel out of the house!"

Greg nodded furiously, agreeing with every word she said.

He looked at Jacob with an increasingly tender gaze. "Son, you're my only child. Everything I own will go to you."

With that, he reminded Jacob, "You need to take a DNA test with Amanda. Once we confirm she's your mom, you need to go back to her."

I nodded encouragingly at Jacob, who looked at me with furrowed brows.

Finally, Jacob caved. He replied to Greg, "Fine. I'll agree to do what you say. But you still haven't answered me—what will you give me in return? Mom said all her assets will be mine."

I was happy to see Jacob's strategic thinking at his young age. If I were to hand over Weiss Group to him one day, I knew it would be in capable hands.

A few Weiss Group employees who usually slacked off were visibly excited. They had already considered all the things Greg and Amanda had thought of too.

If I left Weiss Group, Greg and Amanda would be played like a fiddle by these people.

Greg and Amanda exchanged a conflicted look. Although they had been taking money from me over the years, giving their assets to Jacob in one go was still a bitter pill for them to swallow.

Jacob pouted. "Mom treats me the best. I'm not doing the DNA test. I'll just stay with Mom."

Greg's attitude immediately shifted. He asked Amanda to call the lawyer. Then, he prodded me, "Rachel, is it true you'll give Jacob all your assets?"

I nodded. "Of course."

He looked more relieved. By then, Amanda had called the lawyer to come over.

After some effort, Greg and I both transferred all our assets to Jacob. Once Jacob signed the agreement, Greg and Amanda could no longer hide their smiles.

They were probably already picturing themselves running Weiss Group, drowning in billions they wouldn't even know how to spend.

Meanwhile, I happily watched Jacob become the largest shareholder of Weiss Group.

There was only one more person I needed to take care of—I wanted to take all of Amanda's money too.

"Amanda, you keep saying Jacob is your son, but I don't see you offering him anything. You don't seem like a good mom."

I pretended not to see the change in her expression. I continued, "I've spent more than a million dollars raising your son on your behalf over the years. Since you've paid for Charlotte's medical treatment, I won't ask too much of you. Now, transfer that one million dollars to Jacob."

Jacob turned to Amanda, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Didn't you say I'm your son? Even Dad has given me his money. Why won't you do the same?"

Amanda forced an ugly smile. "Son, I spent all my money on Charlotte's medical bills."

Jacob immediately looked deflated. "Oh. So you don't love me at all. You'd rather spend money on someone else's kid than your own."

Amanda's expression froze. The words caught in her throat.

In truth, she was loaded—Greg had given her a lot of money. She was reluctant to give it all to Jacob, but right now, she didn't have a better option.

At the thought of all the future wealth she would get her hands on, she bit the bullet and pulled out a bank card from her bag. She passed it to Jacob.

"Son, of course I love you. I don't have much, though. Just consider this your pocket money."

At that, I gave the lawyer a nod. "Draft the agreement. Please make sure every single asset is listed."
