As they were about to enter the building, Amy and Wendy saw Justin standing outside in an expensive black suit. He looked sharp, but he had a troubled expression.
Seeing him, Amy’s expression darkened immediately.
Wendy muttered under her breath, “Sc*mbag!”
The two of them were in sync as they decided to ignore Justin and walked past him.
Realizing this, Justin could not hide his irritation. “Amy, stop right there!”
He stepped forward and blocked their path. His voice was tinged with anger, “Didn’t you see me standing there?”
Amy laughed when she heard what he said. “I saw you. What of it? I know that you’re here because of Jenny. Let me be clear. There’s no way I’m letting her off the hook, so don’t waste your time and energy!”
Hearing this, Justin was enraged.
“Amy, you’ve taken the money, so why can’t you just let it go? Do you have any idea how much an arrest is going to tarnish Jenny’s reputation?”
Looking at Justin trying to guilt-trip her, Amy felt disgusted.
