EMMA'S POV
The air in the café felt colder the moment Sebastian walked close to my table.
I spotted him from the corner of my eye, his shoulders tense, his brows furrowed. He didn't usually look like that, so dark, so closed off, but right now, his eyes were locked on me like I’d done something wrong. My laughter died in my throat, and I sat up straighter, my body stiffening on instinct.
“Sebastian,” I said, trying to keep my voice light, even though I was very mad at him “I didn’t see you there.”
His eyes flicked to Alex, and I swear I could feel the temperature drop.
“Who’s this?” he asked, his tone cold.
