EMMA'S POV
I flicked on the light, and there he was.
Sebastian.
He was sitting on the sofa, his posture stiff, his face had an expression that could only be described as anger. His eyes snapped to me the instant the room brightened.
I could feel his gaze on him, but I wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction of acknowledging it. My pulse quickened, but I kept my face cold, as I walked past him toward the stairs.
I didn’t even make it halfway up before I heard the sound of him standing up.
“Emma,” he snapped, his voice loud.
I didn’t stop.
And then he was in front of me, blocking my path at the base of the stairs. His movements were frantic, and I could feel the tension radiating off of him. His jaw was tight, and his eyes had something between anger and desperation.
Desperation ? Maybe I was seeing things.
"Why did you go out with Alex?" His voice was low but I could hear the anger. "Did you even see how many messages and calls I sent you?"
